MDS Nylon rod is a formulation of nylon and molybdenum disulfide. This combination of materials provides a plastic with all the advantages of pure nylon rod and other outstanding qualities.
Improved dimensional stability Increased lubricity Superior wear resistance Greater tensile and flexural strength Nylon MDS resin manufactures into a tough dimensionally stable rod or profile. Its low coefficient of friction and inherent machinability make nylon applicable to diverse fields. Nylon MDS rod also has a water absorption rate of 7%, which can result in dimensional changes up to 2%, and a corresponding reduction of physical properties. Applications for nylon MDS rod include; bearings, rollers, bushings, gears, nozzles, pulleys and many more.
