Tungsten Carbide Wear Parts

VIBO Wear is a professional manufacturer of bimetallic composites and dozer blade, which focuses on wear solutions. VIBO factory covers 30000 square meters, and owns complete state-of-the art production line with capacity of 2000tons bimetallic wear parts and 6000tons dozer blade.

The potential applications for tungsten carbide are endless. Tungsten carbide is an extremely hard material, almost as hard as diamond. This makes tungsten carbide much less susceptible to wear than the conventional steels used to make industrial components. Tungsten carbide parts offer a better alternative in the case of industrial parts subject to wear. These include knives and blades, moulds, punches, guides, etc.

Tungsten is mixed with carbon to make a very strong, very resistant material called tungsten carbide. Tungsten carbide is the hardest of all metals. It is about 10 times harder than 18K gold, 5 times harder than tool steel, and 4 times harder than titanium. So it is suit for making cutting tools and wear-resistant tools for metalworking, drilling for oil and gas, mining, and construction. It is ideally suited for wear parts, other machine parts and dies which are subject to severe service conditions, such as high temperatures, corrosion and abrasion. In recent years, tungsten carbide has emerged as a superior alternative to steel in many industrial applications.

Tungsten carbide is used to make durable wear components. Its high hardness, 700 to 2000 Hv30 (84-94 RA), together with its resistance to extreme temperatures, corrosion and abrasion makes it invaluable in many industrial and engineering applications where it is used to increase component wear life.

Chemical composition: hardfacing overlay steel plate are manufactured by welding one or multiple abrasion resistant layers on Mild steel (Q235, Q345) or stainless steel (SS 304, SS 309, SS 310) base plate.

Advantage:
1. Hardness: 63HRC/700BHN. According to the G65 test, the usage life is at least 2 times higher compared with overlay/hardfacing wear plates, at least 7 times longer than A.R type steels 360/400BHN. The thicker ones such as 20mm above wear plates, usage life is much more longer. The wear resistant performance is the same from plate surface to the brazing joint.
2. Wear plate surface is smooth and flat, media is not easy to stick on.
3. Shapes and sizes can be made on request; Bolts, Nuts, Washers, Holes, Threads are available on request.
4. Better cost-efficient. Unit price is about USD5.5---USD6.5 per kilogram, no matter how thick it is.
5. Operating temperature: 550ºC
