Cable based horizontal lifeline systems have been and will continue to be a valid method of offering an engineered anchor that affords the user horizontal mobility.
Cable systems are less costly that rigid systems. Care must be taken, since loads transferred to the anchorages can be high and cable deflection can be significant. A well designed systems will be in accordance with the requirements of CSAZ259.16. Highwork has been designing to this standard since 2004.
