Prevor Diphoterine®

Designed to address the limitations of water, Diphoterine® boasts key benefits when treating corrosive splashes to the skin or eyes. While water creates a mechanical washing effect and dilutes corrosives, its natural osmotic flow into skin tissue can potentially aid in the absorption of an aggressive chemical into skin and eye tissue. Diphoterine® creates a reverse osmotic flow that helps to protect tissue cells, eliminating or reducing the severity of the burn. Unlike water, Diphoterine® is capable of neutralizing acids and bases, while water can only dilute a chemical.

 

An important factor when treating a corrosive splash is time of contact, so immediate access to treatment is key in affecting outcomes. Many Diphoterine® configurations are designed to be portable and immediately accessible thus providing optimal benefits within the first 60 seconds after the splash has occurred.

Configurations

MICRODAP    Ideal personal equipment for small splashes: Workshops Maintenance personnel. To address approximately 5% of the skin surface area (hand or face).	MINIDAP        An ideal complement for a Wall Mounted Eyewash, where the quantities of chemicals are limited. Ideal for laboratories.  To address approximately 9% of the skin surface area (arm or chest)	DAP    Personal Body Shower designed to decontaminate an entire body.
