Tungsten Carbide Wear Parts
The potential applications for tungsten carbide are endless. Tungsten carbide is an extremely hard material, almost as hard as diamond. This makes tungsten carbide much less susceptible to wear than the conventional steels used to make industrial components. Tungsten carbide parts offer a better alternative in the case of industrial parts subject to wear. These include knives and blades, moulds, punches, guides, etc.
Tungsten carbide is used to make durable wear components. Its high hardness, 700 to 2000 Hv30 (84-94 RA), together with its resistance to extreme temperatures, corrosion and abrasion makes it invaluable in many industrial and engineering applications where it is used to increase component wear life.
Chemical composition: hardfacing overlay steel plate are manufactured by welding one or multiple abrasion resistant layers on Mild steel (Q235, Q345) or stainless steel (SS 304, SS 309, SS 310) base plate.
