Chairlifts

In underground sites with steep inclines, long haulages and large numbers of workers, getting personnel to and from their workplace has become an important cost factor. This is also due to improved safety regulations and ergonomic comfort. Chairlift systems are ideal solutions, whenever large numbers of personnel have to be moved safely and efficiently in steep inclines and declines. Fixed rope grips allow for efficient transport in steeply sloping corridors. The maximum possible gradient for our system is only reached at 45° inclination. Moreover, the system features a simple structure, ease of maintenance, wide applications, greater safety and improved efficiency. Our chairlifts provide transport capacities of up to 900 personnel per hour with speeds of up to 3.0 meters per second. Our chairlifts are designed and manufactured in South Africa to meet stringent international mine haulage safety regulations, the chairlifts are modular and maintenance-friendly and have several unique safety features including rope slip sensors, a passenger override sensor, a fail safe brake sensor and an intelligent pull key system.
