Our portfolio for underground transportation systems ranges from monorails to floor mounted railways with either friction or rack-and-pinion-drive. Optionally, both drive types can be used together. The drive is automatically switched off and on, depending on the applied inclination. As desired by the customer, our trains come with diesel or battery powered engines and meet the highest requirements when it comes to performance, quality and safety. Dry fumes cooling systems allow for secure exhaust cooling without the need of regular water refilling. The Minetrans® trains also come with the lowest weight in class. Especially the loads for suspended monorails are usually limited by the load capacity of the roof support construction, having a lower dry weight, makes it possible to carry greater weights. There is a variety of possible applications of train systems in underground mines ranging from equipment transport to personnel transport to safety transport to autonomous commuting shuttle systems.
