2020 ROAD DRYER RD1200XT-K

The RD1200XT and RD1200XT-K dry wet pavement by blowing large volumes of hot, preconditioned air, at high velocity onto the surface of the road.

2020 ROAD DRYER RD1200XT-K
The RD1200XT and RD1200XT-K dry wet pavement by blowing large volumes of hot, preconditioned air, at high velocity onto the surface of the road. A diesel engine is used to direct drive a high pressure fan. The fan discharge is routed through a direct fired air heater where the air is heated to a controlled temperature and then mixed with the heater exhaust to a uniform temperature and pressure. The heater reduces the humidity of the air to make it better suited as a drying medium. The hot air mixture is then delivered to the pavement through a series of dual jet nozzle distribution boxes. The nozzle box distributes the hot air across the road surface twice and holds the air between the jet’s outlets for prolonged contact with the pavement. This evaporates the moisture and raises the surface temperature of the road approximately 35° - 50˚F. Accumulated moisture (puddles of water) is dispersed by the high air velocity, and then evaporated. #2 Diesel is used as the fuel for the engine, and as the fuel source for the air heater.

BENEFITS
• Allows paving, striping, or surface treatment to begin immediately after one pass
• Saves man hours and equipment time - eliminates waiting for the road to dry
• Rescues time schedules - prevents weather from costing you late penalties
• Proven for night mill n' fill jobs and runway surface rehabilitation

HEAVY DEW AND/OR FOG
• Fight back at mother nature to improve your project timeline

HEAVILY SHADED AREAS OF ROADWAY
• Put your crews to work faster to go the extra mile

POP UP RAIN EVENTS
• Saves material that would be wasted

WET ROAD FROM OVERNIGHT RAINS
• Don’t let mother nature stop you from paving past the competition

BREAKING EMULSIFIED TACK
• In cool night time or cloudy high dew point conditions

MILLING OPERATIONS
• Can use more water for cooling milling head Get more mileage performing nighttime mill and fill work

AIRPORT AND ROADWAY LINE MARKING
• Airfield line marking companies average an extra hour or more productivity per shift
• Dry area after waterblast line removal prior to painting
• Dry area prior to shot blast line removal

TIGHT TIMELINE ROADWAY PROJECTS
• Manage the impact weather related delays have on your time sensitive projects eliminate LD’s
