Building on the best of past designs, the SPM® EXL Fluid End from Weir is engineered to withstand abuse, accommodate longer service intervals and minimize the possibility of human error—all of which help drive down total cost of ownership.
Maximum durability
Heavily tested in field trials, the SPM® EXL Fluid End features the SPM® Everbore™, a hardened-steel packing bore designed to eliminate the threat of washboarding, saving thousands of dollars and days of downtime associated with re-sleeving. A SPM® Duralast® retainer nut offers further durability to accommodate long pumping hours.
Precision manufacturing for consistent quality
To address one of the leading causes of stress fractures, Weir has eliminated hand blending in the cross-bore. We’ve also built the SPM® EXL Fluid End to be resistant to packing and suction seal wear/wash—a major source of downtime on traditional equipment.
Targeting zero maintenance in the red zone
We designed the SPM® EXL Frac Pump for minimal interaction, designing the pump for ease of maintenance, with service specifications printed directly on the body of the equipment.
