Reliable, rigid construction

 

Built upon the innovations of the SPM® QEM 3000, the SPM® EXL Power End features solid-steel unibody-nose construction for superior rigidity, distributing the load more evenly through the frame.

 

Reduced onsite maintenance

 

SPM® Everbore™ is a hardened steel packing bore which eliminates wash boarding and protects against packing bore wash so there is no need to re-sleeve as often.This benefit allows customers to pump for longer hours with less maintenance in the red zone and reduces significant costs of replacing the fluid end completely due to washboarding and packing bore wash. 

 

Fewer internal welds, fewer weak links

 

Since most frames crack along weld lines, we dramatically reduced the number of internal groove welds on the pump, moving them to the outside of the frame and welding them robotically, achieving higher and consistent quality. An integrated skid design provides added rigidity and bearing alignment, minimizing vibration and wear on critical components.

 

Precision-manufactured for maximum gear contact

 

Because extreme torque stress can damage bearings, bull gears and pinions, we completely re-designed the gear system with modernized manufacturing techniques to maximize surface contact between gear teeth, reducing the risk of stripping damage and extending service life.
