Tivar 1000 Recycled UHMW, called Tivar ECO, is the environmentally friendly wear plastic. Rather than throw off-cuts and trims into landfill, Tivar ECO UHMW recycles these to make an amazingly tough and slippery sheet!. In some cases, because even high grade UHMW off-cuts are utilized, customers report that they hardly notice any property difference over standard UHMW!
We recommend that you use Tivar ECO Recycled UHMW for your less demanding, non FDA, UHMW applications.
TIVAR ECO Recycled UHMW is superior ultra high molecular weight sheet that is extremely tough as well as incredibly abrasion resistant. With very low co-efficient of friction, this material is best used in rough duty applications. As with most plastics, care must be taken when machining to ensure dimensional stability is maintained. Typical applications include; most wear applications, hopper liners, bearings, bushings, pipe saddles, conveyor guides and numerous others. Various modified forms are also used to broaden the scope of applications.
