More information Application
Type G-GC portable power cables are manufactured with rope-lay, stranded, annealed bare copper conductors which are insulated with a premium-grade,color-coded 90ºC EPDM. The insulated conductors are assembled round with two bare or green insulated grounding conductors, one yellow insulated ground check and suitable non-wicking rubber fillers as needed. The conductors are covered with an overall black jacket.
Temperature range: -40ºC to +90ºC

Applications
• Type G-GC cables are especially suitable for portable power supply use in industrial and light- to medium-duty mining applications, heavy-duty service as power supply cable, and as power cable for mobile and portable electrical equipment at continuous conductor temperature of 90°C.
• These cables are recommended for use with portable electrical equipment, AC mining machines, loaders, drills, cutting machines, and other portable and mobile equipment where self containing grounding conductor as well as continuous ground monitoring conductor is required. Type G-GC cables may be used in marine (wet) applications.
• Type G-GC cables are suitable for use on three-phase AC systems where 3 or 4 conductors are needed and grounding is required.
• Type G-GC* can also be used where a ground check conductor is required for fail-safe ground monitoring.
