Use as a maintenance primer for upgrading or touching up aged galvanized steel or zinc rich coatings. Can be used as a shop or maintenance coat on properly prepared steel. Typically used in the pulp and paper, oil and gas industries as well as in marine and other corrosive environments. ClovaZinc 1 is a single component Organic Zinc Rich Primer which provides cathodic protection to steel. This ready to use primer reduces waste and mixing time and can be overcoated with most Cloverdale High Performance Coatings. ClovaZinc 1 has 87% zinc by weight in the dry film. Meets the requirement of CAN/CGSB 1.81.
