An advanced composite hood provides exceptional durability with a stainless steel grille to protect the cooling system. The slightly sloped hood design improves forward visibility.
The Model 382 is available with a selection of Peterbilt’s lightweight suspensions, including the Low Air Leaf®, that provides a smooth, controlled ride as well as excellent braking and handling characteristics.
The sloped hood and high-intensity forward lighting system provide improved visibility. A tough Lexan® lens is impact-resistant and no special tools are required for lamp adjustment or bulb replacement.
A dramatically sloped hood with swept-back fenders and integrated headlamps improves forward visibility and works together with a contoured, advanced composite bumper to optimize aerodynamics.
Exceptional visibility results from the combination of an expansive windshield, extra large side windows and heated mirrors.
Service checks are easy. The front panel opens for quick access to the air filter, coolant, washer fluid, power-steering fluid, refrigerant and engine oil.
A lightweight all-aluminum cab features lap seam construction on a zinc-coated steel sub-frame for durability and corrosion resistance. Bulkhead style doors provide virtually water-tight performance.
A distinctive Peterbilt feature is the split windshield design. Made of two pieces of glass instead of one, it allows for easier and more cost effective replacement.
The bumper, grille and sunvisor are all classic Peterbilt touches, but their real beauty is their outstanding durability.
