Municipal Water
Reverse osmosis (RO) is the recognized technology for producing highly purified water for many applications, including municipal drinking water, industrial boilers, food and beverage processing, cosmetics manufacturing, pharmaceutical production and seawater desalination. While industrial RO systems have evolved over the years to produce filtration that is more efficient and effective, performance suffers when the membranes they utilize become compromised. Scale and biofouling are two of the biggest factors that affect membrane function, and these processes can cause expensive downtime and costly repairs.
Solenis offers a broad portfolio of defoamers, marketed under the Antispumin™ trade name, which are environmentally friendly and help control foam and entrained air in a variety of processes and applications. These include aerobic treatment, anaerobic digesters, dewatering centrates, secondary clarification and defoamers for thermal seawater desalination for drinking water production as well as defoamers that are silicon-free.
Solenis has a long history in solid/liquid separation with an established range of flocculants under the Praestol™, Zetag™ and Magnafloc* LT trade names. We are a worldwide leader in flocculant manufacturing and deliver high-quality products to municipal customers looking to solve their biggest challenges. Our products are proven in all water and wastewater applications, including sludge dewatering, sludge thickening and clarification.
