The CAB model is a pneumatic clutch and a pneumatic brake combination assembled in a totally enclosed housing. When air pressure between 20 PSI and 80 PSI is applied to the clutch port, a double acting piston will move to engage the clutch and release the brake. When air is applied to the brake port the piston disengages the clutch and engages the brake. The model CAB is used in applications where controlled clutch and brake engagement is essential, or where high cycle rates are required. Seven standard CAB assemblied are available.
- Totally enclosed housing
- Used in washdown applications
- C-Flange Mounted
- Single piston prevents clutch/brake overlap
- Low inertia clutch/brake rotor
- Fast cycle times
- Accurate starting/stopping
- Hardened steel spline connections
- High temperature sealing materials
- Patented keyless output shaft
- Bearing mounted Input shaft assembly and foot mount available
- Protection against outside contaminants
- Elimination of keyway destruction
Enclosed C-Face Brake - Features two friction surfaces to give high torque, better heat dissipation and longer life. The brakes fit 56C, 143TC, 145TC, 184TC 215TC and 245TC frame motors and reducers and are available in double C-face or C-face to the motor with a bearing mounted output shaft.
