The Hornet Intelligent Endpoint (IEP) is a datalogger that combines all the features of the e55, e56, e57 and e58 Intelligent Endpoint products in a single, rugged enclosure. This simplifies procurement and inventory management while providing additional functionality across your entire Endpoint fleet. Optional LTE functionality is also provided through a convenient but secure front-panel SIM access port.

The IEP product line is a set of robust communication and computing devices designed specifically for mining and heavy industrial environments. Intelligent Endpoints enable the hosting of your choice of third party applications2, on a single piece of hardware while at the same time providing a seamless connectivity solution to share common interface data between applications,2 and aggregate and network all your existing or future on-machine mining applications. Intelligent Endpoints are open computing platforms designed to be vendor agnostic. This gives you the flexibility to seamlessly network and/or host any mobile or field system regardless of manufacturer, including: dispatch systems, machine health systems, high-precision GPS, slope monitoring, dewatering systems, video cameras, safety & security systems and more.
The IEP Suite
The Hornet IEP is designed to fully utilize 3D-P’s IEP-SUITE of software tools which enable direct and simplified integration and management of multiple mining applications. Ultimately the IEPSUITE and the Hornet IEP allow customers to achieve maximum benefit and lowest integration costs from their investment in onboard hardware and wireless network.
