Activated Alumina Media

Activated alumina-based media is designed for the removal of fluoride and inorganic contaminants from water. This media is characterized by a high adsorptive capacity which makes it an economical choice for water treatment. Activated alumina is a highly porous form of aluminum oxide (Al2O3), produced by partially dehydrating aluminum trihydrate. Activated alumina has the ability to absorb a large number of contaminants as a result of its highly porous structure. This porosity and the surface chemistry of activated alumina give it catalytic properties that are useful in many industrial applications.
