Cable Handling & Safety Equipment
Mine Cable Services (MCS) designs and manufactures high voltage cable connection systems ranging from 600 volts to 25000 volts. MCS has also developed electrical cable repair equipment as used in mining operations. The procedures we use and teach ensure the cable is repaired as close to the original manufacturer's specifications as possible.

Mine Cable Services Cable Handling Hooksticks are designed for use in the mining industry as a method of handling energized electrical cable supplying draglines, shovels, drills, and other minesite equipment. A lightweight design offered with either a single hook or a double reversing hook, and a variety of shaft lengths, these cable handling hooksticks are designed with a fibreglass insulating shaft and a molded D-type handle for a safe, firm grip on the cable. Each cable handling hookstick is tested to 60kV DC before shipping, and is suitable for use with cables ranging from 600V to 25kV.

The PHW-X Torpedo Clamp is held in place using two steel saddles and two steel retaining clamps.
