Standard door, Deluxe door, Pins, Stakes and rope are available to complete your tipi. Poles, although we do not sell the poles, we can pass along some useful information to you. Pine, Balsam or Tamarack poles, peeled, are recommended and should be long enough to extend above the crossing point.
Longer poles are recommended for permanent setups because they tend to be a bit thicker and hold up better in strong winds. If you are moving the tipi often, smaller, lighter, poles are recommended. Each tipi requires 3 tripod poles and additional support poles relative to the size of the tipi. To determine pole length, multiply the diameter by 1.3 (e.g. 18 foot tipi x 1.3 = 23.4’ pole lengths).
