Big Gold Launches Maiden Drill Program at Tabor Property

Nov 26, 2024

Big Gold Inc. has commenced its first-ever drill program on the East Divide Target Zone at the Tabor Property, situated within the highly prospective Shebandowan Greenstone Belt in Northwestern Ontario. With over 100 metres drilled and a second drill hole underway, the program will total up to 1,200 metres, targeting high-grade mineralization identified during previous exploration phases.

“This is an exciting milestone for Big Gold as we advance the Tabor Project. Early observations of the core reveal significant alteration, scattered sulphides, and intersections with the shear zone near the surface,” said Scott Walters, CEO of Big Gold. “Our team is preparing the core for assay, and we’re optimistic about the results.”

East Divide Target Zone Highlights

Surface Sampling: Phase 2 exploration yielded 11.4 g/t gold (Au).

Historical Infill Drilling: Intersected 1.46 metres grading 10.9 g/t Au, 34.1 g/t silver (Ag), 0.5% copper (Cu), and 1.8% zinc (Zn).

About the Tabor Project

The Tabor Property is strategically located adjacent to Goldshore’s Moss Lake gold deposit, which hosts an inferred and indicated resource of 6.73 million ounces of gold. Gold mineralization at Tabor is associated with quartz veins, shearing, and sulphides, with geological characteristics similar to nearby deposits.

Key regional comparisons:

Goldshore’s Moss Lake: A recent drill hole reported 2.17 g/t Au over 50.35 metres.

Delta Resources’ Delta-1 Project: Recent results include 15.94 g/t Au over 10 metres.

Next Steps

The technical team will log and process the core for laboratory assays. Results from the current program will provide critical insights into the mineralization potential of the East Divide Zone and guide future exploration initiatives.

With promising geological indicators and its location along the Shebandowan Greenstone Belt, the Tabor Project represents a compelling growth opportunity for Big Gold as it works to unlock the property’s resource potential.
