Big Gold Reports Promising Mineralization in Maiden Drill Program at Tabor Property

Dec 3, 2024

By Kevin Vincent

Big Gold Inc. has announced significant progress in its maiden drill program at the Tabor Property, located on the Shebandowan Greenstone Belt in Northwestern Ontario. Initial results indicate mineralized intersections, quartz veining, and sulphide mineralization (pyrite, pyrrhotite), reinforcing the property’s potential for gold and other metals.

Drilling began on November 25, 2024, and has completed over 200 metres to date, targeting the East Divide Zone. The program aims to drill up to 1,200 metres, focusing on an area with strong historical results, including 11.4 g/t gold sampled at surface during Phase 2 exploration and 1.46 metres of 10.9 g/t gold, 34.1 g/t silver, 0.5% copper, and 1.8% zinc from previous infill drilling.

“We are pleased to see that the observations of mineralization, quartz veining, and shearing in new drill core are consistent with historical drilling,” said Scott Walters, CEO of Big Gold. “Drilling so far has been successful in outlining the presence of increased sulphide mineralization at depth. Our technical team is now working diligently to complete detailed logging and sampling of the drill core.”

About the Tabor Project

The Tabor Property is strategically located along trend from Goldshore Resources’ Moss Lake gold deposit, which hosts a current inferred or higher category resource of 6.73 million ounces of gold. Tabor’s geological characteristics, including quartz veins, shearing, and sulphide mineralization, align with those of neighbouring properties, such as Moss Lake and Delta Resources’ Delta-1 Project.

Key nearby results include:

2.17 g/t gold over 50.35 metres from Goldshore’s Moss Lake.

15.94 g/t gold over 10 metres from Delta-1.

The Tabor project remains in an early stage of exploration, and while results from neighbouring properties are promising, the Company cautions that proximity does not guarantee similar mineralization.

Next Steps

Big Gold’s technical team will complete core logging and sampling, with assay results anticipated in early 2025. The drilling program will continue, with a focus on refining the understanding of mineralization at depth and along strike.

About Big Gold Inc.

Big Gold Inc. is a junior exploration company focused on early-stage base and precious metal projects in Ontario, including the Martin Kenty and Tabor projects. The company aims to expand its portfolio and uncover high-potential resource opportunities.

With early drill results aligning with historical findings, Big Gold’s maiden program at Tabor is shaping up as a key step in unlocking the potential of this underexplored region.
