Bold Ventures Outlines Winter Exploration Plans, Updates Key Projects

Feb 20, 2025

Bold Ventures has shared its upcoming winter exploration initiatives and recent project advancements at the Burchell, Traxxin, Wilcorp, and Farwell properties in northwestern Ontario. The company will also host a booth (#2610) at PDAC from March 2–5, with team members available throughout both the preceding Metals Investor Forum and PDAC.

Winter Plans

Bold intends to conduct test lines of Very Low Frequency (VLF) and Magnetometer ground geophysics at both the Burchell and Traxxin properties:

  • Burchell: Targeting the newly discovered 111 Zone plus the projected Moss Gold Trend in the northwest portion of the property. Past drilling in this northwest area returned 0.9 g/t Au over 6.4 meters.

  • Traxxin: Focusing on the Traxxin Main Zone and its northern extension under Bedivere Lake, where 2021 drilling intersected up to 3.6 g/t Au over 12.3 m (including 6.1 g/t Au over 4.9 m). Anomalous gold values collected in fall 2024 will also guide the geophysical survey.

Project Updates

Burchell Gold-Copper Project

  • 111 Zone Discovery: In 2024, sampling returned up to 68 g/t Au across a 3+ m wide sheared volcanic zone.

  • Moss Trend Extension: A November 2024 soil survey revealed anomalous gold, copper, molybdenum, and zinc, suggesting potential along strike of the Moss Gold Deposit.

  • Located 105 km west of Thunder Bay, accessible by logging roads and Highway 802.

Traxxin Gold Project

  • Island prospecting in late 2024 yielded grab sample assays up to 345 ppb Au, extending known gold-bearing shear zones into Bedivere Lake.

  • Road-accessible near Trans-Canada Highway 11, 130 km west of Thunder Bay.

Wilcorp Gold Project

  • September 2024 sampling returned up to 16.3 g/t Au from a historical pit, followed by assays up to 7.28 g/t Au along strike.

  • Another 170 m gold-bearing trend identified in 2024 with values up to 892 ppb Au.

  • 13 km east of Atikokan, Ontario, near major gold infrastructure including Agnico Eagle’s Hammond Reef deposit.

Farwell Gold-Copper Project

  • Bold amended its option agreement in January 2025 and has submitted an early exploration permit application, aiming to conduct geophysical and geochemical surveys plus drilling.

  • No field work was completed in 2024.

  • Located 55 km northwest of Wawa in the Lake Superior region.
