Canada Nickel Reports Strong Results from Mann Property Exploration Program

Dec 11, 2024

Canada Nickel Company Inc. has announced promising results from its 2024 exploration program across three targets: Mann West, Mann Central, and Mann South, located within the Timmins Nickel District. These results continue to highlight the district’s potential for nickel sulphide discoveries.

“Today’s results confirm the significance of the discovery at Mann West, with mineralization extending over 1.7 kilometers in strike length and remaining open in multiple directions,” said Mark Selby, CEO. “The Mann South target presents a new and exciting discovery, while Mann Central continues to provide positive results. With six additional resource estimates scheduled through the first half of 2025, these results underscore the scale of the Timmins Nickel District.”

Highlights of Mann Property Exploration:

Mann West:

Location: Approximately 3.5 kilometers long by 1.1 kilometers wide, covering 3.4 square kilometers.

Drill Program: 39 holes completed, with 31 drilled in 2024.

Results: Long sections of serpentinized peridotite with disseminated nickel sulphide mineralization, primarily pentlandite and heazlewoodite.

Next Steps: Resource estimate planned for Q1 2025.

Mann South:

Location: Target spans 5.9 kilometers by 1.2 kilometers, covering 4.1 square kilometers.

Drill Program: 20 drillholes completed, with assays from 11 holes reported; results pending for nine holes.

Results: Extensive serpentinized peridotite and dunite intersected.

Focus: Ongoing mineralogical analyses and prioritization of untested areas, with nearly half the strike length unexplored.

Mann Central:

Location: Ultramafic body estimated to be 4.5 kilometers long and up to 1 kilometer wide (3.1 square kilometers).

Drill Program: 32 holes drilled to date, with 27 completed in 2024.

Results: Consistent mineralization in a central area spanning 1.9 kilometers by 600 meters.

Anomalous PGMs: Platinum and palladium observed in pyroxenite units near peridotite contacts.

Exploration Summary

The Mann property, 80% owned by Canada Nickel and 20% by Noble Mineral Exploration, is part of a broader regional exploration program. With over 117,000 meters drilled across 14 properties, Canada Nickel continues to advance its understanding of the Timmins Nickel District. These latest results bolster confidence in the district’s potential to host large-scale nickel sulphide resources.

Next Steps

• Finalize initial resource estimates for Mann West by Q1 2025.

• Continue exploration and analyses at Mann South and Mann Central.

• Publish additional resource estimates for other properties through mid-2025.
