Clean Air Metals Advances High-Grade Drilling at Thunder Bay North Project

Jan 31, 2025

Clean Air Metals has launched a 2,000-metre drilling program at the Thunder Bay North Critical Minerals (TBN) project, targeting high-grade zones within the Current deposit. The program follows recent geophysical modeling and successful drilling in 2024, aiming to expand the number, size, and grade of high-grade pods near the surface.

Strategic Focus on High-Grade, Moderate-Tonnage Mining

“Execution of this program aligns with our strategy of advancing a high-grade, high-margin, moderate-tonnage project,” said Clean Air Metals. “Our focus is on delineating and developing a potential bulk sample as we refine our mine plan and financial model.”

The Current deposit is the larger of two disseminated sulphide resources at the TBN project, which hosts 14.0 Mt of indicated resources averaging 1.31 g/t Pt, 1.37 g/t Pd, 0.41% Cu, and 0.25% Ni (NI 43-101 Technical Report, June 19, 2023).

2024 Exploration and Development Highlights

Last year brought significant changes for Clean Air Metals, including a new technical team, a new CEO, and a revised development approach. Key accomplishments include:

• 1,768 metres of definition drilling across 10 drill holes at the Current deposit, with key intercepts:

• 51.79 meters grading 4.92 g/t Pt, 4.66 g/t Pd, 1.07% Cu, and 0.55% Ni (hole CL24-001), including:

• 25.82 g/t Pt, 24.50 g/t Pd, 6.94% Cu, and 3.87% Ni over 0.97 meters (massive sulphides).

• 50.7 meters grading 4.52 g/t Pt, 4.38 g/t Pd, 0.99% Cu, and 0.53% Ni (hole CL24-010), including:

• 6.35 g/t Pt, 6.10 g/t Pd, 1.32% Cu, and 0.69% Ni over 30.7 meters.

• Passive seismic survey covering 30 km² at the Escape Lake area.

• Re-processing and reinterpretation of historical geophysical data for the Current and Escape deposits.

• Updated geological interpretation of high-grade occurrences within the Current and Escape conduits.

• Raised over $1.5 million for exploration and secured $200,000 in funding from the Ontario Junior Exploration Program.

Next Steps

The current drilling campaign is designed to build on the momentum of the 2024 program and advance the project towards feasibility. Clean Air Metals continues to refine its geological model while optimizing its mine plan for a high-margin, sustainable development at Thunder Bay North.
