Conquest Resources Identifies Potential VMS System at Belfast-TeckMag Project

Feb 11, 2025

Conquest Resources has completed its first-phase, 3,549-meter drill program in partnership with VerAI Discoveries at the Belfast-TeckMag Project in southern Ontario. Initial results indicate the presence of a potential copper-zinc-gold volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) system at the Eaglerock target.

Key Highlights:

  • Potential VMS system identified at Eaglerock.

  • Three of four AI-generated targets show indications of a mineralized system.

  • Drill program completed within six months of signing exploration agreement.

  • Newly defined targets open large, underexplored areas for further discovery.

"We are excited to see the results of our first AI-driven exploration partnership with VerAI on our Belfast-TeckMag Project," said Thomas Obradovich, Conquest’s president and CEO. "Intercepting copper-zinc-gold mineralization at Eaglerock is a significant development. This area, which was previously undetectable using traditional methods, now presents a compelling exploration opportunity. The discovery of anomalous mineralization over 30 meters, with separate zones enriched in palladium and platinum, suggests strong potential for future resource expansion."

The program tested four high-priority targets identified through VerAI's proprietary AI Discovery Platform. Assay results from six drill holes have confirmed promising mineralization, particularly at Eaglerock.

Drill Results:

  • Eaglerock Target:

    • Drill holes BC24-32 and BC24-33 intercepted sulphidic horizons with chalcopyrite and sphalerite within pyrrhotite mineralization up to 25%.

    • BC24-33 returned 0.83% Cu over 0.50 m, with a broader anomalous Cu zone over 33.50 m in BC24-32.

    • Zn mineralization confirmed, including 0.40% Zn over 2.00 m in BC24-33 within a 7 m zone averaging >0.1% Zn.

    • Logging of BC24-32 confirmed a VMS horizon with sulphidic chert and fine sediments over 33.50 m.

"The results from this program validate the discovery capabilities of VerAI’s technology," said Yair Frastai, CEO of VerAI Discoveries. "Eaglerock appears to be on the margins of a VMS system, concealed beneath younger rocks and extensive forest cover. We look forward to advancing these projects to the next phase."

Other Targets:

  • Turtleshell Target:

    • Drill hole BC24-29 intersected low-level magmatic-style sulphide mineralization within mafic intrusive rocks, returning grades up to 0.53% Cu over 0.60 m.

  • Emerald Target:

    • BC24-31 and BC24-35 intercepted Archean volcaniclastic breccia, possibly linked to VMS deposit formation, though no significant mineralization was detected.

  • Manitou Target:

    • Drill holes BC24-27 and BC24-28 failed to reach the target horizon due to thick Nipissing diabase units, but deeper drilling may intercept mineralized zones.

Conquest and VerAI plan to refine their targeting strategy and advance exploration at Belfast-TeckMag, focusing on the potential VMS system at Eaglerock.
