Delta Resources Secures $200K Grant to Advance Delta-1 Exploration

Dec 10, 2024

Delta Resources Limited has been selected to receive up to $200,000 from the Ontario Junior Exploration Program (OJEP), further supporting its exploration initiatives at the Delta-1 property in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

“We are once again so pleased to receive the OJEP grant this year,” said André Tessier, President and CEO of Delta. “The funds go a long way to advance and expand our exploration program on a non-dilutive basis at the Delta-1 project, enhancing value for all stakeholders.”

The grant coincides with Delta’s ongoing exploration at the newly expanded Delta-1 property, which spans 308 square kilometres within the eastern Shebandowan Greenstone Belt. The company is also preparing for its next drill campaign, set to commence in early January 2025.

Minister of Mines George Pirie commented on the funding: “Investing in mineral exploration is vital to ensuring Ontario’s long-term economic success and global competitiveness. This $200,000 in funding through OJEP will help Delta Resources Limited as they explore for gold and base metal deposits at their Delta-1 property in Thunder Bay, creating new opportunities and delivering lasting benefits to strengthen Ontario’s mining sector.”

About Delta Resources Limited

Delta Resources Limited is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on enhancing shareholder value through two high-potential gold and base-metal projects:

Delta-1:

Delta’s flagship project, located 50 kilometres west of Thunder Bay, features gold mineralization over a strike length of 2.5 km and a depth of 300 m. Highlights include drill intercepts of 5.92 g/t Au over 31 m (including 14.8 g/t Au over 11.9 m) and 1.79 g/t Au over 128.5 m. The property encompasses 306 square kilometres and has multiple untested corridors of intense alteration and deformation.

Delta-2:

Located in Quebec’s Chibougamau District, the Delta-2 property spans 205 square kilometres with potential for gold-rich polymetallic VMS and hydrothermal-gold deposits. Historical mining at the site included 0.76 Mt grading 9.6% Zn, 4.2% Cu, 4.5 g/t Au, and 84 g/t Ag between 1975 and 1983.

Delta Resources continues to strategically advance these projects while leveraging funding opportunities like the OJEP to maximize exploration potential.
