Goldshore Resources Launches Winter Drill and Geophysical Programs at Moss Gold Project
By Kevin Vincent
Goldshore Resources Inc. has initiated an ambitious exploration and resource expansion campaign at its 100%-owned Moss Gold Projectin Ontario. Contracts for the winter diamond drill program, top-of-bedrock sonic drilling, and geophysical surveys have been awarded to Laframboise Drilling Inc., Forages Technic-Eau Inc., and Abitibi Geophysics, respectively.
Expanding and Optimizing the Moss Gold Resource
The 15,000-meter diamond drill program targets near-surface mineralization within the top 200 meters of the existing resource. This campaign is designed to improve the economic performance of the deposit by:
1. Increasing Drill Density: Strategic infill drilling will reduce spacing in areas where mineralized intercepts are currently too widely spaced to be included in the inferred resource.
2. Extending Shear Zones: Exploration will focus on lateral extensions of known mineralized structures.
3. Shallow Drilling: Targeting mineralized zones intersected at depth to expand resources closer to surface.
These efforts aim to optimize the forthcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) scheduled for release in Q1 2025.
Discovery-Driven Exploration
Goldshore’s systematic discovery-focused exploration program will investigate 23 kilometers of underexplored structural corridors in the Moss Gold Project area. The program comprises:
• Sonic Drilling: Sampling the top of bedrock on a grid of 50-100 meters across 400-800 meter lines, covering the project’s extensions and the 12-kilometer Kawa trend. Up to 200 holes will help identify gold mineralization zones obscured by muskeg and till.
• Geophysics:
• A 40-line-kilometer pole-dipole survey over the Moss Gold Project.
• A 235-line-kilometer gradient array survey across the structural corridors.
• These surveys aim to identify resistivity and chargeability anomalies, refining drill targets for future exploration.
Current Resource Estimate and Potential
As of March 2024, the updated NI 43-101 Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) outlines:
• 1.54 million ounces of Indicated gold resources at 1.23 g/t Au.
• 5.20 million ounces of Inferred gold resources at 1.11 g/t Au.
Covering only 3.6 kilometers of a 35+ kilometer mineralized trend, the deposit remains open along strike and at depth, underscoring its potential for substantial growth.
CEO’s Perspective
Michael Henrichsen, CEO, emphasized the significance of these programs, stating:
“These initiatives not only aim to expand our near-surface resources but also to generate robust discovery targets across largely unexplored corridors. With modern geophysics and systematic sonic drilling, we believe there is immense potential to uncover additional ounces and further strengthen the Moss Gold Project as one of the most promising Canadian gold deposits.”
About the Moss Gold Project
Situated with direct access from the Trans-Canada Highway, the Moss Gold Project benefits from its proximity to hydroelectric power, supportive communities, and a skilled workforce. Since acquiring the property, Goldshore has invested over $60 million and completed 80,000 meters of drilling, adding to the historical 155,000 meters.
With an advanced-stage asset, a proven exploration strategy, and strategic investments in cutting-edge technology, Goldshore Resources is poised to elevate the Moss Gold Project into a major player in Ontario’s gold mining landscape.
