Mistango River Resources reports results from Omega Drilling and Prospecting

Nov 28, 2024

Mistango River Resources Inc. (“Mistango” or the “Company”) has announced assay results from its recently completed 18-hole, 2,520-metre drilling program on the Omega Mine property and shared findings from prospecting conducted during the campaign.

The program, which focused on the SW Zone of the property, located off the trend of the Larder Lake-Cadillac deformation zone, targeted shallow mineralization. Among the highlights was Hole 002, which intersected 1.5 g/t Au over 7.1 metres, immediately beneath a surface outcrop previously excavated for a bulk sample.

Key Drilling Highlights

The results suggest that mineralization at the SW Zone is likely hosted within the Temiskaming Assemblage sediments, identifiable by red jasper pebbles. The mineralized zones are bordered by highly deformed ultramafic rocks, with the conglomerates altered to sericite and iron-carbonate, and minor fine-grained pyrite within the mineralized intervals.

Hole 002: 1.5 g/t Au over 7.1 metres, just below a past bulk sample excavation.

Hole 011: 0.97 g/t Au over 7.5 metres near the bottom of the hole, indicating a second, deeper mineralized zone forming a parallel horizon to the SW Zone.

The second mineralized zone, located deeper and to the north of the SW Zone, appears to extend further west. Geological evidence points to intense deformation in the area, with lithologies of varying ages interdigitated and forming a distinct deformation zone. This zone may represent a splay off the main Larder Lake-Cadillac break.

Prospecting and Sampling Results

In addition to drilling, the Company conducted prospecting over three days, revisiting historical showings.

Grab Samples: Values ranged from trace to 20.48 g/t Au, with an average grade of 2.63 g/t Au from one trench.

Geological Observations: The mineralized zone, striking nearly north-south, is parallel to the nearby LaGuerre Gold Mine, which follows north-south fault structures within syenite intrusions.

A total of 33 samples were collected from old trenches and pits. These included lithologies such as syenite/granite, sediment, and ultramafic rocks resembling the carbonate ore from the Kerr Addison Mine.

Exploration Next Steps

The results from the drilling and prospecting will be integrated with historical data, and the SW Zone will be re-interpreted. Prospecting and trenching on mineralized zones will resume in spring 2025, weather permitting.

Technical and Quality Assurance Details

All drilling and sampling were conducted under rigorous Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) protocols:

• Drill core was split, with half sent to MSA-Labs in Timmins, Ontario, for analysis using the Photon Assay method approved for gold assays.

• Standards and blanks accompanied all assay batches, and all drill collars were surveyed using UTM coordinates with differential GPS.

• Down-hole deviations were measured using Reflex instruments, with flagged faulty readings excluded from the database.

True widths of mineralized intersections are estimated to be at least 80% of the quoted core lengths for drill holes oriented toward 340° with dips between 50° and 65°.
