Radisson Unveils 2025 Exploration and Development Plan for High-Grade O’Brien Gold Project

By Kevin Vincent
Radisson Mining Resources has announced a robust exploration and development plan for its O’Brien Gold Project in Québec’s Abitibi region. The 2025 program aims to expand the project’s resource base through deep drilling, uncover the surface potential of the historic “Jewellery Box” zone, and advance towards a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA).
“This year will be pivotal for O’Brien,” said Matt Manson, President and CEO. “We are committed to exploring the full potential of the project, from deep mineral extensions to surface discoveries. Our collaboration with IAMGOLD on milling options and an increased focus on environmental and community engagement reflect our vision for a high-grade, low-footprint mining operation.”
Exploration Plans:
• Deep Drilling: A 22,000-metre program targets extensions of high-grade mineralization below the current resource, following impressive results at 1,500 metres depth, including 31.24 g/t Au over 8 metres.
• Jewellery Box Zone: Surface stripping and trenching will trace this historic ultra-high-grade zone, with prior drilling intersecting 1,345 g/t Au over 1 metre.
• Trenching Campaign: A 1.1-km trenching program will assess new exploration targets along the Cadillac-Larder Lake Break.
Development and Environmental Efforts:
Radisson expects to complete metallurgical studies under a Memorandum of Understanding with IAMGOLD, exploring processing options at the nearby Doyon mill. Baseline environmental studies and community engagement initiatives will also be expanded, aligning with plans for a sustainable underground operation utilizing existing infrastructure.
