Sienna Resources Applies for Drill Permit, Poised to Launch Exploration in Ontario’s Case Lake Region

Nov 7, 2024

Sienna Resources Inc. has announced its application for a drill permit in Ontario, a step toward commencing its maiden exploration program at the Case Lake West Cesium and Spodumene Pegmatite Project in the Larder Lake Mining division, about 100 km north of Kirkland Lake. “We are very excited to look to get our maiden drill program underway on this project. We have the cash in hand and are very optimistic about this project at a time when the market seems to have a renewed upside push,” stated Jason Gigliotti, President of Sienna Resources. “The next few months will be very productive in terms of growth for Sienna Resources Inc.”

The Case Lake region is recognized as one of North America’s most promising areas for cesium exploration, though management cautions that past results or discoveries on nearby properties may not necessarily indicate similar findings on Sienna’s claims. With the drill permit application under review, the company expects to begin operations promptly upon approval.

Expanding Portfolio in Strategic Minerals

In addition to its Case Lake project, Sienna has recently bolstered its portfolio across North America with several strategic acquisitions. These include the “Stonesthrow Gold Project” in Ontario, now covering 31,718 acres, and three uranium projects in Saskatchewan’s prolific Athabasca Basin—the 10,357-acre “Uranium Town Project” adjacent to Denison Mines, the 23,134-acre “Dragon Uranium Project” bordering Cameco Corporation, and the 55,440-acre “Atomic Uranium Project.”

In Nevada, Sienna has acquired the “Elko Lithium Project,” spanning 1,830 acres and directly bordering Surge Battery Metals’ Nevada North Lithium Project, which recently reported the highest-grade lithium deposit in the United States. Sienna is also one of the largest landholders in the Clayton Valley, home to Albemarle Corporation’s Silver Peak deposit, the only lithium-producing mine in North America. The company’s assets in the area include the Blue Clay Lithium Project, the Silver Peak South Project, and the Clayton Valley Deep Basin Lithium Project.

Significant developments in lithium extraction in Clayton Valley by Schlumberger New Energy Ventures have demonstrated promising recovery rates, a potential game-changer for lithium brine deposits in the region. However, management notes that past results in proximity to Sienna’s properties may not necessarily reflect mineralization potential within its own holdings.
