Spearmint Acquires the Carscallen West Project near Timmins

Spearmint Resources has its eyes on West Timmins. The company announced Tuesday that it has acquired the Carscallen West Project consisting of approximately 2500 contiguous acres. This new project is prospective for gold located in the Abitibi Greenstone belt and in the direct vicinity of the city of Timmins and to Melkior Resources Inc and Pan American Silver.

"We are pleased to add this new gold project to our robust portfolio of projects. Recently, Melkior Resources Inc. drilled six metres of 25.7 g/t Au at Carscallen (May 7, 2020) and we are pleased to acquire this new land package in the direct vicinity of Melkior. We have also expanded our cesium project and anticipate having a very active summer with multiple projects expected to commence operations," James Nelson, President of Spearmint, stated.

During the past 100 years the Timmins area has produced over 70 million ounces of gold, making it one of the richest gold camps in Canada. Timmins is also home to Kidd Creek, one of the largest VMS ore deposits in the world.
