A well deserved award for Wesdome's Kiena exploration team

A Heartfelt Congratulations to Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. (TSX: WDO ) Kiena Exploration team for winning the Quebec Mineral Exploration Association’s (AEMQ) Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The Kiena Mine Complex is located within town limits of Val Dor, Quebec and in 2013 operations were suspended due to declining gold prices and a lack of developed reserves. Wesdome mine began exploring the property in 2015 and in 2016 discovered the Kiena Deep A Zone, which has remained the focus of underground exploration. The Kiena Deep A zone is characterized by visible gold bearing quartz veins with little associated sulfide mineralization, and according to Wesdome may represent a new style of gold mineralization in the area.
The AEMQ is a Quebec based non profit association that promotes sustainable and responsible mineral exploration throughout the province. With 1200 individual members and 150 corporate members, the association represents a major part of the mineral exploration of the province.
