Wesdome Delivers Exceptional Exploration Results at Eagle River

Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd. has provided a comprehensive update on exploration at its Eagle River Mine, located near Wawa, Ontario. With more than 105,000 meters of surface and underground drilling completed in 2024, the company has expanded high-grade zones, identified new targets, and refined its geological understanding of this prolific asset.
“Eagle River delivered exceptional exploration results in 2024, reflecting the prospectivity of this high-grade asset and the strength of our team,” said Anthea Bath, President and CEO.
Drilling highlights include significant advancements at the 6 Central Zone, where the resource envelope was extended down-plunge by approximately 70% (250 meters) and a parallel zone was identified with strong high-grade potential. Notable intercepts include:
• Hole 758-E-492: 180.0 g/t Au uncapped over 2.4 m core length (83.4 g/t capped, 2.3 m true width).
• Hole 758-E-525: 167.6 g/t Au uncapped over 1.7 m core length (65.9 g/t capped, 1.6 m true width).
The 300 Zone, which currently accounts for the majority of Eagle River’s reserves, also delivered exceptional results. Step-out drilling confirmed high-grade continuity and extended mineralization down-plunge. Highlights include:
• Hole 1201-E-65: 36.4 g/t Au over 4.0 m core length (3.5 m true width).
• Hole 1201-E-68: 29.4 g/t Au over 2.7 m core length (20.9 g/t capped, 1.7 m true width).
Surface exploration included an induced polarization (IP) survey that revealed anomalies closely associated with known deposits, opening new potential west of the diorite. “These findings confirm the long-term potential at Eagle River and outline several targets for further exploration in the coming year,” Bath added.
Wesdome’s $13 million 2025 exploration program will include approximately 115,000 meters of drilling, additional geophysical surveys, and surface mapping. The program aims to build on the company’s recent successes and expand near-surface mineralization through digitization of historic data, alternative mining methods, and refined economic modeling.
The Eagle River Mine, a cornerstone of Wesdome’s high-grade portfolio, continues to demonstrate its potential as a long-term producer. With extensive exploration planned, the company aims to solidify its position as a leading Canadian-focused gold producer.
