Cementation Mining Group

The Cementation Mining Group is comprised of five independently operated mine contracting and engineering companies, each established and carrying out work in Canada, the United States, South America, South Africa and Australasia. International projects outside of these regions can be handled as joint ventures between two or more of the five companies depending on the project requirements. Collectively, the Cementation companies have carried out projects in over 30 countries. The Cementation Mining Group works together sharing global best practices and supporting each other with specialist personnel and equipment.

The Cementation Mining Group is coordinated from London, England, and the five companies making up the group are owned by Murray & Roberts.

Murray & Roberts

Murray & Roberts is South Africa's leading engineering, contracting and construction services company. Established in 1902, the organization's primary focus is on resources driven construction markets in industry & mining, oil & gas and power & energy and offers civil, mechanical, electrical, mining and process engineering; general building and construction; materials supply and services to the construction industry; and management of concession operations.

Murray & Roberts operates in Southern Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australasia and North and South America. The corporate office is in Johannesburg South Africa, where it has a public listing on the JSE Limited. It has an international coordinating office in the United Kingdom and principle offices in Australia, Botswana, Canada, the USA, Chile, Namibia, the United Arab Emirates and Zimbabwe.

Kitikmeot Cementation Mining & Development Ltd

Kitikmeot Cementation Mining and Development Ltd (KCMD) is a partnership between Kitikmeot Corporation of Nunavut and Cementation Canada Inc. Established in 2005, the partnership services Northern underground mine development work while providing a platform for Inuit employment and training. KCMD is a mining partnership built on safety, success and respect for the North.

Aboriginal Partnerships

Cementation is recognized as a "partner of choice" for First Nations and Inuit groups based on the company's focus on opportunities for the communities we work in and respect for the people within these communities and regions. Part of our Mission Statement is to establish long term relationships with partners and it is important that the company's goals are aligned with those of our partners. Cementation strives to achieve this within all Aboriginal partnerships.
