Pyramids

Triodetic pyramids are three or four space frame panels which are interconnected at the ridge lines. This allows for unlimited configuration in both plan and elevation. Pyramids can be column supported or supported along the full perimeter. Covering can be glazing or metal panels.

The botanical enclosure pictured bellow (Right), is part of Sydney’s suite of visually striking architectural features including the Centrepoint Tower, Harbour Bridge & the Opera House. Galvanized steel tube was selected to provide durability in the warm, humid interior created to replicate tropical climates favorable to the plantings. The exterior glazing is supported by purlins attached to the Triodetic frame & sealed using the batten system. The original gardens were established in 1816 and are the oldest scientific institution in Australia.
