Communication Systems
Leaky Feeder Cables
Leaky feeder cable is a radio frequency cable with weak shielding which allows radio signals to enter or leave the cable at any point
A single cable carries several channels in opposite directions with a guard band between them to prevent collisions
The cable has 16 intermod-free channels with super-low intermodulation noise levels
Also, the cable is able to transmit wide-spread data and video signals making it ideal for voice over IP handset, WLAN, IP camera, remote blasting and PC connections
VHF System
30 meter radio coverage off of the leaky feeder cable
500 meter amplifier spacing
Power supplies can be space up to 8,000 meters apart
Local and remote diagnostics capabilities which can direct technical personnel to the problem area
UHF Systems
120 meter radio coverage off of the leaky feeder cable
Minimizes the impairment of radio wave transmission in curves, branches, and other spatial limitations inside of a mine
350 meter amplifier spacing
ATEX certified for use in mines at the risk of firedamp
Instrincally Safe System
Allows for system use in mines or other hazardous areas where explosions are possible as a result of the surrounding environment
Battery back-up allows for up to 4 hours of emergency power
Tagging And Tracking
Locate personnel in an emergency situation
Improve traffic flow and warn of approaching vehicles
Monitor restricted areas and time spent underground
Manage operations more effeciently
