Young-Davidson project
The Young-Davidson project is an Engineer, Procure and Construct (EPC) project that Cementation is currently constructing for Alamos Gold in Northern Ontario. From early engineering, the Cementation team was able to identify an innovative material handling solution by combining proven current technologies into a borehole hoisting shaft, which saved the Client on schedule and capital. Cementation introduced large diameter raise boring to North America, and combining the ability to excavate large diameter holes with the technology to insure verticality has enabled borehole hoisting to meet high speed production requirements. The permanent plant design incorporates a friction hoist tower mounted in a concrete headframe as well as rope guides, resulting in a low capital and energy efficient material handling system.

Cementation is currently engaged in the grouting program as well as long hole drilling and development of ore headings at the Hope Bay Project, which is located in the Kitikmeot region of Nunavut.
In coordination with other crew members the Millwright is responsible for performing mechanical repairs and routine planned maintenance on a variety of fixed plan installations.
The Lead Electrician will be expected to work on the tools to complete the installation and commissioning of conveyor belts, including the services and utilities required for the conveyors, including, but not limited to services (power, fire suppression, controls, etc) required for the conveyors.
In coordination with other crew members the Hoist Operator follows job procedures and regulations to perform the assigned tasks.
The Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanical Leader is expected to perform preventative maintenance and repairs as required to surface and underground, mobile and stationary equipment.
