About Us
Biigtigong Nishnaabeg is located off the TransCanada Highway 11/17 on highway 627, along the northern shores of Gchi-gamig (Lake Superior). The reserve land is 332.7 hectares (822 acres or 1.28 square miles) in size. The traditional territory encompasses over 2 million hectares of combined Exclusive and Shared territories.
Biigtigong Nishnaabeg is a vibrant and developing community with a growing population. There are approximately 1200 members with approximately 500 living on-reserve lands.
A progressive First Nation, Biigtigong Nishnaabeg has shown significant achievements in economic development with vested interests in the energy and renewable energy sector. Employment ranges from administration, health and social services fields, energy sector, mining, construction and forestry. The community is at the core of extensive mining and forestry potential. Biigtigong Nishnaabeg take a pro-active approach when dealing with resource development happening within their traditional territory including the development a Consultation and Accommodation Law (2008), making major investments in beneficial projects and by building meaningful and mutually beneficial partnerships.
Contract Supervisor at Barrick Hemlo
Communicate with all Contract Personnel and their supervisors for the completion of time-cards. Participate in interviews and investigations and report accordingly to the PRDC Contract Coordinator.

Social Services Program Supervisor
The Social Services Program Supervisor shall administer all aspects of the Biigtigong Nishnaabeg Social Services.
