Couchiching First Nation requires an energetic, motivated and career-minded new Cook for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner. The new Cook must be prepared to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, while maintaining the organizational ability to identify and act on job duties quickly and effectively. The new Cook must be prepared to work as a team member in a dynamic workplace, follow all safety procedures, and have a high threshold for heat in a kitchen environment.
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.
2. Professional diploma or food services management preferred.
3. Minimum 1 year of cooking experience required.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of food and catering trends, quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation required.
5. Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling required.
6. Ability to lift up to 50lb.
7. Effective communication skills.
8. Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
9. Highly effective teamwork skills.
10. Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail.
11. Attention to detail in all areas of work.
12. Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
13. Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
14. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

CCFCP MANAGER/SUPERVISOR

The Manager/Supervisor is a full time, permanent position with the Couchiching Child & Family Care Program responsible for acting as a primary liaison between Couchiching First Nation and Weechi-It-TeWin Family Services.

4 C’s Program Staff

The Program Staff is responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of the Couchiching Child Care Program in accordance with the Child and Early Years Act.
