Account Manager - Broadband Wireless Solutions
This role will be to develop new and to service existing customers by identifying their needs, matching wireless solutions to applications and develop strategies to make a positive impact on their business.
Sales Territory and Verticals Markets
The sales territory will be west of the Mississippi river, specifics to be determined.
Vertical Market knowledge of Government -all levels, Oil & Gas, Security, Transportation.
Duties:
* Establish new broadband accounts by surveying business conditions and opportunities; identifying potential customers; planning and organizing sales-call schedule; setting appointments with potential customers.
* Provide broadband product, service, technical and engineering information to the customer
* Prepare solutions, cost estimates, and contract documents by studying network plans and related customer information; coordinating requirements with engineers; analyzing cost-benefit ratios of equipment, supplies, or service applications in the customer’s environment; engineering or proposing changes in equipment
*Close sale by explaining the solution and costs involved and demonstrating the benefit to the customer.
* Meet broadband sales objectives by maintaining customer lists; discussing progress with Sales Manager; identifying obstacles in closing agreements; developing solutions to improve closing ratio.
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by understanding new broadband technologies; attending educational workshops and product training; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Desired Skills and Experience
Background and Experience Required:
- 3 – 5+ years experience in outside sales of wireless and/or inter-networking solutions including, RF knowledge, Microwave Radio, backhaul and access systems, WIFI, LTE, Routers/Switch/Hub, physical security solutions.
- Self Starter, Organized, Independent, Aggressive, Customer Focused with an emphasis on and an ability to develop accounts into long term strategic customers.
- Working closely with manufacturer representatives for business development
- Ability to work independently
- Travel up to 50%
Education: College degree or equivalent. Formal technical training in the wireless communication industry is a definite asset.
