Major Accounts Manager
- Sources new, large business opportunities within the region for AGI
- Responsible for analysis and recommendation of proposals designed to increase business and improve processes with large customer accounts
- Leads account contract negotiation process
- Establishes service and business plans with respect to national agreements and ensures compliance to customer contract agreement obligations throughout Canada
- Develops and facilitates National program implementation process
- Brings together AGI Management & National Account Business Managers to solidify continuous improvement cost saving initiatives and to review cost reduction progress
- Assists AGI management team by preparing and assisting with national account presentations; sourcing new business through market leads and/or trends; active team member in searching for improved ways of doing business / servicing national accounts
- Takes a leadership / coaching role with Regional Sales group and AGI Regional Co-ordinators
- Takes an active role in developing a strong working relationship with National Accounts management team
- Supports other National Accounts Managers with new program implementation and ongoing business activity within the West
- 5 years experience within the industrial distribution sector, preferably in a sales function with exposure to sales reporting, gross margin, inventory management functions
- Professional demeanour and ability to work with all levels externally, as well as internally
- Strong project management, time-management, negotiating and presentation skills
- Extremely organized, flexible, proactive and creative
- PC skills competency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel program
- Possession of a valid license and a suitable vehicle
- Post secondary degree / courses in Business Administration / Commerce, or equivalent experience necessary
