Summary: Responsibilities encompass operations, capital and financial reporting including variance analysis.  While providing timely and accurate information is a cornerstone of the function, critical success skills will be the ability to develop metrics and financial reports useful in managing the business.  Apply principles of cost accounting to conduct studies which provide detailed cost information not supplied by general accounting systems.
 
Essential Job Functions: Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Work closely with Controller while supporting Engineering Manager to ensure they have access to data required to manage and forecast capital projects, based on timelines established.
  • Assist in preparation of operating plans, forecasts and management proposals, while providing necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  • Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of expense based on past, present, and expected operations.
  • Analyze changes in manufacturing materials, methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
  • Compilation of accurate & complete information for month-end, quarter-end, year-end and adhoc capital reporting.
  • Coordinate and complete transactions within Enterprise and Fixed Asset Systems to manage capital expenditure requisitions, closures, capitalization, depreciation and retirement of assets.
  • Prepare journal entries for month end close.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
 
Qualifications:
 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
 
Education and/or Experience:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 5 years related experience with standard cost accounting, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment. CMA certificate a plus.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be PC proficient, skilled in MS Word and Excel and have the ability to quickly master new software programs. J. D. Edwards software experience a plus.

Salary Range: $67,600 - $84,473

Maintenance Supervisor
