- Work closely with Controller while supporting Engineering Manager to ensure they have access to data required to manage and forecast capital projects, based on timelines established.
- Assist in preparation of operating plans, forecasts and management proposals, while providing necessary supporting documentation and justification.
- Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of expense based on past, present, and expected operations.
- Analyze changes in manufacturing materials, methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
- Compilation of accurate & complete information for month-end, quarter-end, year-end and adhoc capital reporting.
- Coordinate and complete transactions within Enterprise and Fixed Asset Systems to manage capital expenditure requisitions, closures, capitalization, depreciation and retirement of assets.
- Prepare journal entries for month end close.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 5 years related experience with standard cost accounting, preferably in an industrial manufacturing environment. CMA certificate a plus.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be PC proficient, skilled in MS Word and Excel and have the ability to quickly master new software programs. J. D. Edwards software experience a plus.
Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment in a the mine.
This role functions with a high degree of autonomy and reports directly to the Manager, Mine Development, within the Mine Engineering department.
As a strategic partner, the HR Business Partner aligns business objectives with employees and management at the Canadian manufacturing facilities, and serves as a consultant to the local management teams on Human Resource related issues.
This position is primarily responsible to support Capital Sourcing for the Canadian Business Units.
The person in this position is primarily responsible for the development, implementation and management of the Environmental Health and Safety Management System at the Goderich Mine.
Responsibilities encompass operations, capital and financial reporting including variance analysis.
Following the mine plan, the Mining Supervisor is accountable for the safe, efficient and quality of work performed by the Mining Team.
