Our innovative technology and services allow water utilities to manage their pipelines based on reliable information about their condition simply by placing sensors on valves and fire hydrants. We have found tremendous demand for our technology and are now looking for a seasoned Quality Assurance leader, reporting to the VP of R&D and Operations. Acting as a leader, the incumbent in this role will be required to manage all QA activities. The successful incumbent in this role will be highly motivated, proactive, detail oriented, and will possess strong communication skills. Additionally, he/she will possess a professional demeanor and an ability to work very closely with all cross functional and remote organizations ensuring that the entire Quality Assurance and System Test phase is well orchestrated.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Develop, document and maintain automation test code/infrastructure, test plans, and tools.
• Bring pragmatic, methodical, engineering driven solutions to all verification tasks.
• Manage day to day activities for QA Engineers.
• Create and review Verification Strategy, Plans and detailed test cases.
• Drive Automation strategy, Review and Maintain Automation code.
Responsibilities:
• Report accurate metric driven results.
• Drive the test team to execute to all intermediate scheduled milestones.
• Bring pragmatic, methodical, engineering driven solutions to all verification tasks.
• Develop, document and maintain automation test code/infrastructure, test plans, and tools.
• Manage day to day activities for QA Engineers.
• Create and review Verification Strategy, Plans and detailed test cases.
• Drive Automation strategy, Review and Maintain Automation code.
• Review and report test results.
• Support sustaining efforts for the group.

• Works in compliance with the Mueller Water Products Code of Conduct and all Environmental, Health and Safety policies, procedures and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Required Education & Experience:
• BS degree in software engineering, electrical engineering, computer science.
• 10 plus years’ equivalent work experience.
• At least 2 years’ QA Team Leadership/Management experience.
• At least 5 years direct experience with GUI and System Level Testing.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of network protocols and with cellular communication.
• Working knowledge of Automating GUI/CLI automation tools and scripting such as Selenium, Ranorex, Test Complete, TCL and C#.
• Knowledge of Database administration and usage (MySQL).
• Knowledge of RF, WIFI.
• In-depth understanding of the principles and best practices of SQA.
• Experience with SCM (AccuRev preferred) and bug tracking system (JIRA preferred).
• Solid understanding and practical experience of software development life cycles, with emphasis on SQA engineering functions.
• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent coaching, listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Keen attention to detail and able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Working Conditions:
• Office Environment
• Travel 10%-20% if required.
Physical Requirements:
The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, Talking, Seeing, Hearing, and Sitting. The majority of the actions will be sitting.
