Applications Engineer

 Identify the manufacturing process, recommend the machinery concept, and accurately develop the cost model for Wayne Trail-designed equipment.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
  • Evaluate the feasibility of automation systems based on data supplied by Sales, Engineering, Management and Customers.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and concepts capable of producing systems or products
  • Research and develop accurate cost estimates for Wayne Trail equipment.
  • Write technical quotations and produce concept drawings for customer presentation.
  • Assist as necessary with customer communication, presentations, and trade related events.
  • Follow-up as necessary with sales, customers, and representatives.
  • Responsible for following Department ISO procedures
 
QUALIFICATIONS:  
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or proven equivalent in experience.
  • Minimum High School Diploma, Associate degree in technical discipline desired
  • CAD (3D modeling a plus)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing and design (mechanical/electrical) of industrial automated equipment.
  • Metal forming (bending, forming, piercing, etc.) and metal joining (Laser, arc, resistance welding, etc.) experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience working with customers and suppliers.
  • Effective writing and communication skills.

Assembler

We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Assembler to join our team.  Under general supervision, the candidate will perform a variety of mechanical tasks on equipment and will perform other duties as required. Job tasks include assembly, building, and testing of our machines.

This position is responsible for the development and implementation of sales strategies and plans to acquire new business for assigned solutions and services to meet or exceed annual sales goals and grow market share. The individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships at assigned accounts and engaging with customers to ensure effective and efficient utilization of resources.
