Conveyor Technician

Our Calgary, Alberta branch is seeking a few good people to join our team, performing maintenance and installations on systems throughout Southern Alberta, Eastern British Columbia and Northwest Territories. This is your chance to learn a new skill set, perform interesting and challenging work, and be part of a team all while being exposed to a variety of industries including, mining, wood, food, distribution, recycling, aggregate, manufacturing, and more.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform in-field installation, repair and preventative maintenance services on conveyor and material handling systems
- Shop and field work including installations, maintanaince and rebuilds of components, rubber lining, pulley rebuilds, light fabrication/welding
- Weekly work schedule with opportunities for over time and double time by responding to emergency or call-outs as needed
- Ensure customer service, quality and workmanship are top priority
Qualifications and Skills
- General mechanical aptitude
- Journeyman Millwright ticket an asset
- Red Seal Welding ticket an asset
- Valid Driver’s License
- Eager to learn
- Great people-skills
- Detail-oriented
- Strong problem-solving skills, organization and planning skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work under various weather and work conditions (cold, heat, noise, etc.)
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, a go-getter; interested in career development
- Must be physically fit as there is heavy lifting involved
- Skills such as rigging, cutting, welding, etc. an asset
