Clinic Manager

- Manage the day-to-day administration of the Dental Clinic and Massage Clinics; hiring and supervising part-time clinic staff and assist with scheduling to ensure efficient operations of the Dental and Massage Clinics.
- Coordinate client recruitment activities for the dental and massage clinics, and hire clinical staff for the nursing programs.
- Evaluate, revise, and complete ongoing quality assurance, and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, including the fire and safety procedures, hazardous materials and waste management, and medical emergencies procedures.
- Assist with program accreditation submission and site visit.
- Act as the privacy contact for the dental clinic, while communicating, implementing, overseeing, and reporting on dental clinic compliance with privacy protocols and regulations.
- Liaise with members of the program/department including full-time administrators, faculty, and support staff. Contribute to program advancement, partnership development, and curriculum review.
- Actively participate in program/department meetings as well as take part in Program Advisory Committees.
- Provide input into the budget submission, capital requests, and other finances. Seek and implement dental, massage, and nursing clinic(al) efficiencies.
- One-year postsecondary certificate in Dental Assisting. A copy of educational documents must be submitted with application *** education completed outside of Canada, applicants are required to submit a WES or ICAS with their application)
- Must possess CPR (HCP) and First Aid Certification.
- Five years practical experience in a dental environment.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, coach, and motivate knowledge workers, ideally in a unionized environment.
- Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
- Excellent written communication skills and exceptional interpersonal skills, as well as strong conflict resolution skills and firm commitment to client service.
- Strong computer literacy and effective critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Previous management experience in a dental environment in an educational setting.
