- Inspect existing underground heading to ensure the workplace is safe and assigned tasks can be executed safely and to design specifications
- Use scaling bars, pneumatic hand-held drills, cutting and welding equipment, rubber tired underground mobile equipment such as MacLean Bolters, Scoops, Dump Trucks, Jumbo, and shotcrete sprayers
- Install rock bolts, spin cables and screen using Maclean Bolter and handheld drills
- Muck
- Install services and vent
- Other such duties as may be assigned
- Ensure full understanding and compliance with company policies and work in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and other local regulatory requirements

- Ensure that any equipment deemed damaged or unsafe by virtue of a defect, or a machine of which any protection system is inoperative, is not used and communicated to the supervisor

- Ensure applicable procedures and work standards for all tasks are understood, adhered to and complied at all times for all such work

- Minimum 2 years related work experience
- CWB Certification considered an asset

Cementation is currently engaged in the grouting program as well as long hole drilling and development of ore headings at the Hope Bay Project, which is located in the Kitikmeot region of Nunavut.
In coordination with other crew members the Millwright is responsible for performing mechanical repairs and routine planned maintenance on a variety of fixed plan installations.
The Lead Electrician will be expected to work on the tools to complete the installation and commissioning of conveyor belts, including the services and utilities required for the conveyors, including, but not limited to services (power, fire suppression, controls, etc) required for the conveyors.
In coordination with other crew members the Hoist Operator follows job procedures and regulations to perform the assigned tasks.
The Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanical Leader is expected to perform preventative maintenance and repairs as required to surface and underground, mobile and stationary equipment.
