As part of the Centerra Gold Service team, the Accounts Payable Advisor is responsible for working with the processing of all invoices for Centerra’s BC operations and works in conjunction with the Accounts Payable team to ensure that best practices are applied. Individual successful in the role has a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
  • Audits invoices against purchase orders, identifying discrepancies and seeks approval for payment
  • Verifies, enters, and posts details of business transactions to the ERP system
  • Ensures invoices without POs are coded and duly authorized
  • Prepares approved debit memos as necessary and communicates notice to vendor
  • Answers vendor queries
  • Reconciles vendor statements
  • Assist with reconciliation of AP-GL accounts
 
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
 
  • Background in Accounts Payable (preferred)
  • Proven ability to work under pressure with ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work autonomously on specific tasks to meet deadlines
  • Clear and strong communication skills both with written and verbal
  • Team-oriented individual
  • Strong ability to build relationships and work effectively with others at all levels of the organization
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and positive attitude
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
