Asset Integrity Engineer – Houston, TX or Calgary, AB

- This position will hold normal business hours
- Frequent travel with overnight stays in the US and Canada is expected for the role
- Work with the team and equipment suppliers to identify risks associated with the design and operation of Certarus assets throughout the lifecycle
- Implement and improve maintenance programs to improve equipment (CNG Trailers, CNG Hoses, Pressure Reduction System) reliability
- Visit domestic suppliers for expediting, inspections, quality audits per business need
- Identify key equipment failure trends and develop corrective actions to address issues
- Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement
- Write Safe Working Procedures, equipment manuals, training materials, and any other documentation relevant to mitigating safety risks or improving Certarus’ operations and maintenance
- Implement inspection plans based on CSA, ASME, API and Local Regulation
- Collaborate with Certarus assigned Chief Inspector and NDE contractors for the scheduled inspection for the facilities, pressure vessels and piping/tubing systems
- Manage facility data to plan preventative maintenance inspections of pressure relief devices based on standards and service intervals
- Assist with Inventory Management, Recertifications and Maintenance
- Liaise with operation team and sub-contractors to manage inventory and recertification of CNG hoses Parker Tracking System (PTS)
- Develop new concepts of continuous improvement for the Maintenance and Reliability of the CNG trailers and Hoses
- Collaborate with the CNG trailer manufacturers for continuous improvement of operating and maintenance of the equipment based on constructive feedback from the operations team
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited University
- 5+ years’ experience in a technical role within an industrial hands-on environment. Direct experience with CNG is an asset
- Experience with compressor packages, piping, electrical, and control systems is an asset
- Working knowledge of best practices for steel fabrication, tubing, and electrical assemblies
- Working knowledge of ASME B31.3, Canadian Electrical Code, and National Electrical Code
- Demonstrated success in fast paced cultures
- Excellent organizational & communication skills
